Boom — once parent's saw it, they thought "my kid would love that!", and sales started pouring in.


    Social media as help create a demand for your product by putting it in front of the people you know will want it, even if they don't know they want it (yet). We've discovered that this platform works really well for certain industries, such as fitness, photography, hospitality, lifestyle, and driving schools, to name a few.

    Full disclosure: this section has been included by popular demand, not because it generates results.


    You may have seen a section on this page about honesty. We had good about being transparent, so let us honour that promise by delivering some hard, cold facts. In our experience, LinkedIn Advertising is a waste of time when it comes to PPC ads. There simply isn't enough of a market to support an advertising campaign here that generates results. Digital marketing is a numbers game that relies on a high volume of impressions to trigger a purchase.


    We know this doesn't seem logical given that every professional in Perth is on there. B2B ads should work here, right? Sure, there are a lot of professionals on this platform, but the whole value proposition of a digital marketing platform like this is that you can narrow down to a niche with advance targeting, such as by industry, job title, geographical location, years of experience, etc. As we know, Perth is a small place, and by the time you narrow it down to your ideal market you’ll likely discover it’s slim pickings. And out of this already small selection of people (somtimes down to the hundreds), how many of them are actively using the platform enough to see your ad? And out of those people, how many are in a position to engage your services. Probably zero.


    But hey, we still get asked to do it! We advise against it and suggest better platforms, but our clients always have the final say, so we'll do LinkedIn Ads if you really want them. Of course, we give it a red hot go, but don't say we didn't warn you!

    At the end of the day, this info doesn't mean anything unless it generates results and gives you a good ROI. We track every PPC campaign so we can tell you wihtout a doubt, "yes it's working — let's maximise it", or "no, it's not working — let's do something different". 


    We pay for your website to get connected to a SEO tool called Ahrefs, which is a powerful search engine tool — second to only Google themselves. This tool has many powerful, data-based reports that demonstrate the traction (or lack thereof) being made. We’re constantly monitoring this for improvements and feedback, so that your PPC ads can be optimised or altered. 


    We’ll be able to show you the searches you appear for, the estimated amount of traffic to your website PPC ads have generated, and also the value of that traffic.

  • How do I get started with my PPC Management 30-day free trial?

    We like to make it nice and easy, so start with this free trial form. You'll be assigned an Account Manager, who will be in touch to get the ball rolling for your PPC campaigns. You’ll be linked through to an online briefing form that you can complete while you’re waiting.

  • Am I guaranteed results from PPC?

    No, sorry. But, we do offer the first month free and  don’t have lock-in contracts or minimum terms, so that you can walk away the moment you feel like you’re not getting value.


    As you can imagine, with our whole client base on a no lock-in contract we’re pretty motivated to get exceptional results for you!

  • Is my advertising spend on top of your management fees?

    Yes. PPC management falls under our Marketing Essentials arrangement, which comes with a monthly fee that goes to Helium. However, the advertising costs for PPC are in addition to that flat Marketing Essentials fee.


    As a general guide, we recommend an advertising budget of $1,000 a month. Of yours, you can choose whatever budget you like, we just find anything less than this generally doesn't generate results (more on this in the next point). 

  • How much should I spend on advertising?

    The first thing you should note is it actually makes no difference to us how much you spend with external platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.


    So, now you know this is unbiased advice we’d recommend spending at least $500 per campaign per platform per month, but ideally $1,000. For example, if you were to run two campaigns on Google Ads and one on Facebook ads, you’d be looking at a recommended minimum spend of $1,500 to $3,000 per month.


    This gives us enough budget to work with to generate a result. Some of our clients spend $500 per month some spend $10k. Obviously, the more you spend, the less significant Helium’s management fee becomes and the easier it is for you to generate a positive ROI.

  • Can I change my advertising budget?

    Sure can. We can start and stop campaigns, modify budgets, delete campaigns, add new ones, all in real time. It’s best to aim for a consistent budget so that we can build rapport between your business and the digital marketing platform, as well as continually fine tune the campaigns, however we also know what it’s like running a business and can go with the flow.
