  • What is PPC?

    PPC stands for "Pay Per Click". It describes digital advertising on a variety of platforms, including Google Ads.


    PPC trades uses auctioning system where you bid on certain placements, such as at the top of Google. You secure this placement by outbidding your competitors (rather, the platform you choose automatically bids for you within the parameters you set). You're only charged when someone actually clicks on your ad (not just when they see it), which is why this form of digital advertising is called PPC.

  • How do I get started with Google Ads?

    We like to make it nice and easy, so start by filling in this form or give us a call to discuss your needs. 


    Once you're on our books, you'll be assigned an Account Manager who will be in touch to get the ball rolling for your Google Ads campaigns. See? Easy.

  • Am I guaranteed results from Google Ads?

    Google Ads are awesome for almost every business, but we can't promise results. If you're hesitant to move forward, just know that we don’t have lock-in contracts or minimum terms, so that you can walk away the moment you feel like you’re not getting value.

  • Is my advertising spend on top of your management fees?

    Yes. Google Ads management falls under our Marketing Essentials arrangement, which comes with a monthly fee that goes to Helium. The advertising costs for Google Ads are in addition to that flat Marketing Essentials fee, and this advertising budget is paid directly to Google through their platform (Helium doesn't take a cut).


    As a general guide, we recommend an advertising budget of $1,000 a month. Of course, you can choose whatever budget you like, we just find anything less than this generally doesn't generate results (more on this in the next point). 

  • How much do Google Ads cost each month?

    The first thing you should note is it actually makes no difference to us how much you spend with Google Ads. We don't take a percentage of your advertising budget, just our flat Marketing Essentials fee. 


    So, now you know this is unbiased advice, we’d recommend spending at least $500 per campaign, per month — but ideally $1,000 to generate solid traction within 30-60 days. For example, if you were to run two campaigns on Google Ads, you’d be looking at a recommended minimum spend of $1,000 to $2,000 per month.


    This gives us enough budget to work with to generate a result. Some of our clients spend $500 per month, and some spend $10k — it really comes down to how many new customers you want and how quickly you want them!

  • Can I change my Google Ads budget once the campaign is launched?

    Sure can. We can start and stop campaigns and modify budgets, all in real-time. 


    It’s best to aim for a consistent budget as Google (and our team) uses data about who has seen and clicked on your ads in order to optimise your campaigns and get you the best results. If you change the budget too often, or too significantly it can mean the data we collect is inconsistent, so for the best ROI we suggest consistent budgets wherever possible. However we also know what it’s like running a business and can go with the flow, and we can action changes on the same day in most cases when needed.

  • How do I know whether my Google Ads are working?

    At the end of the day, Google Ads are useless unless they generate results and give you a good ROI. We track every Google Ads campaign so we can tell you, without a doubt, "yes it's working — let's maximise it!", or "no, it's not working, here's how we can fix it". 


    Using powerful search engine analysis tools, we constantly monitor Google Ads data and analytics for improvements and feedback. This way, we know whether your Ads need to be optimised or are perfect as they are.


    We’ll show you the searches you appear for, the estimated amount of traffic to your website Google Ads have generated, and also the value of that traffic in terms of new customers interacting with you. 

  • Are landing pages included with my Google Ads campaign?

    Yep! Landing page design and development is included in our management fees. 


    Google Ads landing pages are crucial because they give people the content they're looking for by directing them to a purpose-built landing page. Our strategically created landing pages serve the content your potential customers crave on a silver platter. 


    For example, say you search for "Google Ads Management Perth" and click on an amazing Google Ad for exactly that (perhaps you actually did). Would you prefer to land on this page that talks exclusively about Google Ads management for Perth businesses, or would you prefer to land on our home page where we broadly lay out everything we do? The latter would be pretty annoying, so we always do the former.
