The site had to appeal to Carey’s varying audiences and stakeholders — Board, staff, parents (current and prospective), students, media, and community. We knew the design had to meet the needs of Carey, as well as providing a positive user-experience for each audience type. This meant gaining an understanding of user needs and perspective. Simplifying the enrolment process with online forms was also critical.
With Carey providing their own copy, more time could be spent crafting a bespoke and adaptive design for a complex audience environment. The sitemap was adjusted for a more intuitive user-experience, including clearer pathways for parents — particularly surrounding the enrolment process. To make the online enrolment process smoother for prospective families, we integrated various user-friendly software with the site.
With campuses in Forrestdale and Harrisdale, Carey Baptist College is well-known for holistic education and passionate local communities. They needed a website that complemented the professional standard of their offerings.
